James Wesley Dixon

Graveside funeral services for James Wesley Dixon, age 77 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 27, 2021, at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Rev. Kevin Hammons and Rev. Baron Powell will officiate. Mr. Dixon was born October 30, 1943, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wesley Lamb and Winnie Cooper Dixon. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Mark Jackson, and 2 sisters, Lizzie Giddens, and Susie Attaway. He was the owner and operator of James Dixon Construction. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Whiteford Lodge #101. He was a retired Volunteer Firefighter for 40 years. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly, but above all he loved the Lord. Mr. Dixon passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 53 year, Etta Mae Dixon of Dublin, 2 daughters, Lisa (Ragan) Green of Dublin, and Sherry Jackson of Dublin, 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Chandley) Green of Alpharetta, Tiffany (Jake) Kyzer of Rentz, Samantha Jackson of Dublin, and Sydnee Jackson of Dublin, a brother, Bennie Dixon of Rentz, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
