James Thomas Henderson, Sr.

Graveside funeral services for James Thomas Henderson, Sr., age 88, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Larry Rowland will officiate. Mr. Henderson was born January 16, 1933 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ivey and Amie Green Henderson. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Junis Henderson, Ernest Henderson, Bill Henderson, and J.C. Henderson. He was a founder and member of the National Potters House Ministry. He was a former Police Officer and Detective with the City of Dublin Police Department. He was the owner/operator of Helen Apartments. Mr. Henderson passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Helen Chalker Henderson of Dublin, 2 sons, James Thomas (Donna Whittier) Henderson, Jr. of Dublin, and Leslie (Kathy) Henderson of East Dublin, 2 daughters, Marie (Claude) Barbee of Rentz, and Gail Allen of East Dublin, a sister, Lucille (Delmas) Brown of Dublin, grandchildren, Dusty (Tiffany Savage) Henderson, Ashley (Lance Hines) Rogers, Macy Rogers, Abby Rogers, Devin (Harliee) Henderson, Cody Barbee and Angie, Colton Barbee, Billy Ray Daniels (Michael Henderson), Ricky Thigpen, and Nicole Howard, great-grandchildren, Conner White, Bentley Henderson, Bailey Henderson, Alexis Hines, and Bo Henderson. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Northview Cemetery. Stanley Funeral Home/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
