James "Jimmy" Edward Cook, Jr.

Mr. James Edward Cook Jr., age 58, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Serenity Place Hospice. Mr. Cook was born on May 9, 1962 in Fort Bragg, NC. "Jimmy" was the son of the late James E. Cook Sr and Pamela Clay Cook. At the age of 16, Jimmy suffered a life changing accident that left him paralyzed. For 42 years he was taken care of by his mother. She gave him strength to face each day and he lived a good quality of life until her untimely passing three months prior to his death. Mr. Cook is survived by his aunt and uncles, David Clay, Sherry Forth, and Michael Clay, and extended family. Due to Covid-19 no services will be held at this time. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
