James Robert Mimbs, Jr.

Funeral services for James "Bob" Robert Mimbs, Jr., age 61 will be held at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Corinth Church with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Hugh Baxter and Rev. Wes Webb will officiate.

Mr. Mimbs was born December 9, 1963, in Swainsboro, Georgia. He was the son of the late James Robert Mimbs, Sr. and Mary Hall Scott. He was a lifelong carpenter. He was the founder and CEO of Swamp Creek Wood Works, Inc. He was a member of Corinth Church. Mr. Mimbs passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Memorial Health University in Savannah.

Mr. Mimbs is survived by his wife, Pamela Garnto Mimbs of Meeks; 2 sons, Benjamin Prangle Mimbs of Meeks and John Rastus Mimbs of Ohio; 5 daughters, Brandie Kay of Alabama, Stormie Stone of Alabama, Megan Mimbs (Jonathan) Parrish of Wrightsville, Amanda Mimbs of Meeks, and Mary Elizabeth Mimbs of Meeks; 3 sisters, Lynn Mimbs (Tracy) Wilkes of Meeks, Kathy Mimbs Riner of Meeks, and Jenny Mimbs (Jody) Scott of Wrightsville; 8 grandchildren, Josh, Jericho, Aniah, Isaiah, Isaac, Elaina, Elice, Annie June; a great-grandchild, Bohdi; and a special aunt, Kay Mimbs Webb.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Eckardt, Nathan Foskey, Jason Wilcher, Verlon Coleman, Kenny Carroll, and Cody Rich.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Meeks, Phil Foskey, and Hugh Foskey.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Mimbs to Corinth Church in c/o Madison Foskey at 451 Foskey Road, Adrian, GA 31002. (478)494-9636
