James Ladon Powell

James LaDon Powell, age 68, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Wrightsville, Georgia.

Mr. Powell was born on April 17, 1956, in Denton, Georgia. He was a self-employed construction worker and a member of Oaky Grove Church. LaDon is preceded in death by his parents, James Eudon Powell and Margaret Mack Merritt Atkins.

He is survived by his wife, Babette Powell; daughter, Jessica Suzanne Powell (Tony McKinney); three sons, Charles Dayton Powell (Tiffany Anna Powell), Landon Powell (Shaina Powell) and Jonathon Derrick Powell; a brother, Charles Powell (Diane Powell); two sisters, Janice and Bernice; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mr. Powell was memorialized by cremation and services will be announced at a later date.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of arrangements.
