James R. Dixon, 86, of Dublin passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020.
Mr. Dixon was born April 20, 1934 in Laurens County GA. He was the son of the late Ernest Roy and Bernice Bryom Dixon. He was a 1952 graduate of Dudley High School and retired-Co-Owner for Twin City Auto Parts, Sandersville, GA. He was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and had previously served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Roy and Bernice Bryom Dixon and sister, Anita Maureen Dixon.
Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of 67 years, Louise Curl Dixon, two sons, Danny R. (Jo Ann) Dixon of Dublin and Terry (Suzanne) Dixon of Macon. Five grandchildren, Jamie (Joe) Powers of Dublin, Kara (Cameron) Barnes of Cadwell, GA, Kiley Dixon of Rentz, Will Newsome of Wrightsville, GA and Alicia Norris of Dublin, GA; three great grand children, Landon and Asher Powers, and Clayton Barnes; and brother, Billy (Sue) Dixon of Dublin, GA.
Private Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21st at 11:00 at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert Rogers and Rev. Wes Pinkley officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Scott Health and Rehab, 12 Smith Lane, Adrian, GA 31002.
