Memorial services for James Michael "Mike" Scarboro, age 71, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2022, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Bruce Jordan will officiate.
Mr. Scarboro was born and raised in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Don Scarboro and Jackie Roberts Mercer. He resided at various places due to his career as a kitchen designer and finally retired on Lake Sinclair in Eatonton, Georgia. Mr. Scarboro passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, after a short illness, at Navicent Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.
He is survived by his life-partner, Grace Sharpe of Eatonton/Savannah; son, Danny Scarboro of Dublin; daughter, Kristi Scarboro Cody (Jarred Mimbs) of Rentz; stepsons, Craig Sharpe (Joan) of Statesboro, Wade Sharpe (Jennifer) of Dublin, and Bill Wall (Veronica) of Milledgeville; brothers, Paul Scarboro (Maureen) of Milledgeville and Alan Scarboro (Kerry) of Macon; sisters, Donna Scarboro (Ralph), Lynn Sauve and Kim Scarboro all of Maryland; grandchildren, Madison Cody, Dylan Cody and Chase Cody all of Rentz; step grandson, Casey Sharpe (Hannah); step granddaughter, Samantha Sharpe of Dublin; and step great grandchildren Carolisa, Averly and Adleigh Sharpe all of Statesboro; longtime friend, Bill Allen (Susan) of Hahira; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., August 17, 2022, at the home of Kristi Cody and Jarred Mimbs, 1109 David Mullis Rd, Rentz, Georgia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Cody, Chase Cody, Jarred Mimbs, Craig Sharpe, Wade Sharpe, Bill Wall and Casey Sharpe.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
