James (Jap) Harrison Waldrep, age 74, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home in Dublin, Georgia, with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Dexter, Georgia. Rev. Larry Waldrep will officiate.
James was the son of the late H.D. (Bot) Waldrep and Gertrude Estes Waldrep. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lynette Kitchens Waldrep.
Mr. Waldrep was born in Dexter, GA and was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. He retired from J.P. Stevens and from the Laurens County school system. He was a member of Dexter Assembly of God.
Survivors include three children Kelland (Barbara) Waldrep of Dublin, Kevin (Bot) Waldrep of East Dublin, and Tammy (Byron) Fulghum of East Dublin, brother John (Glenda) Waldrep of Ailey, and sister Kay (John) Pope of Dexter, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Waldrep, Porter Wood, Shawn Killingsworth, Cory McDaniel, and Matt Waldrep.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Deal, Sam Wright, John Shephard, Emory Lake, Carl Tyson, Bud Grizzard, and Gene Mulkey.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
