Funeral services for James Jackson Wyatt, III, age 69 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Marie Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
Jim was born and raised in Laurens County, Georgia. He was a graduate of Dublin High School, Emory University, and Georgia College. He worked a number of occupations and was self-employed as a mortgage broker for many years. He was very active with Marie Baptist Church and faithfully served for many years as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and orchestra member. He also enjoyed farming and working in the family garden. He was preceded in death by his father, James Jackson Wyatt, Jr. Jim passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at his residence.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Martha M. Wyatt of Dublin, his mother, Betty Veal Wyatt of Dublin, 2 sons, Adam Wyatt of Dublin and Cole Wyatt of Dublin, 2 brothers, Randy Wyatt of Dublin, and Bobby (Paula) Wyatt of Dublin, a sister, Beth (Eddie) Bozeman of Dublin, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Marie Baptist Church; Chris Marsh, Travis Craft, Craig Swindell, Harold Hunter, Emory Davis, John Draper, Brian Clark, and Jimmy Cox.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Jim to Marie Baptist Church at 315 Marie Church Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
