Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Janice Tyson, age 54 will be held at 2:00 PM, January 30, 2020 in Faith Christian Assembly with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Doug Bridges will officiate.
Mrs. Tyson was born in Dublin, Georgia. She was a homemaker, but that was just her "day job" until school was out and her babies headed to the field or the wrestling mat. Mrs. Tyson loved being a mom to her kids, their friends, and teammates. She would do anything she could to make sure the whole team felt the same unwavering love and support that she showed her children. There is no doubt that you've heard stories or seen her in action under those "Friday Night Lights" putting that love on full display. If there were anything in the world that surpassed her love for being the ultimate team mom, it would be holding and spoiling her grandbabies. Mrs.Tyson showered her grandbabies in love from the second they were born until she left this world behind to join her heavenly father and the family that went before her.
Mrs. Tyson was truly "famous in a small town". When you think about her, remember her as the team mom that would hold the umpire accountable, pat your sons and daughters on the back after a hard fought win or loss, and the mother and grandmother that loved all her babies fiercely.
Mrs. Tyson passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital surrounded by the people she loved.
Mrs. Tyson is survived by her husband Michael Tyson of East Dublin, her sons Joseph "Joey" Andrew Thomas (Jennifer Evans Thomas) of East Dublin, Michael Adam Tyson (Kaitlin Sethna Tyson) and John Austin "Roaddogg" Tyson both of Lawrenceville, and Frederick Ace Phillips of East Dublin, daughter Sierra Sharie Wilkes (Joe Wilkes) of Scott, brother David Mimbs, sister Nelda Paul (Charles Paul), sister Gloria Keen, brother Vic Thomas, brother JA Thomas, sister Melba Evans and sister Diane Brooks.
