Jaylyn Leigh Hood

Funeral services for Jaylyn Leigh Hood, age 22, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Brown Memorial Baptist Church with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Randy Adams will officiate.

Mrs. Hood was born on February 24, 2004, in Sandersville, Georgia. She was a Deputy Clerk for the Washington County Clerk of Courts Office. She attended Brown Memorial Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Linda Hood and her maternal grandmother, Sheree and Jimmy Giddens. Mrs. Hood passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia.

She is survived by her mother, Andrea Giddens (Corey Dixon) of Harrison; father, Jay Hood (Karlye) of Wrightsville; fiancé, Peyton Blue of Wrightsville; son, Kyler; sisters, Caitlyn Hood (Hunter Claxton) and Briley Grace Hood of Wrightsville; brothers, Hunter Hood (Madison Canady), Corbin Hood, and Camden Hood all of Wrightsville; paternal grandfather, Larry Hood; paternal aunts, Melinda Brantley (Kevin) and April Smith (Kevin); maternal aunts, Jessica Giddens and Cheyenne Giddens; maternal uncle, Jeremy Giddens; and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Giddens, Shane Brantley, Jacob Smith, Dawson Smith, Gavin Herrin, Lewis Parker, and Payton McCoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Dixon and members of the Johnson County First Responders.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel.
