Jerry Wayne Halling

Jerry Wayne Halling, 78, of Harrison passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Halling was born November 2, 1943, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was the son of Charles and Mildred Barnes. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and began his civilian-career as a computer program analyst. After retiring from government work, he pursued further education in photography and art. He spent many years traveling the United States taking photographs most often of the natural world. He lived in Alexandria, Virginia, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Sedona, Arizona before settling in Harrison, GA. Throughout his life, he maintained an intense interest in all things metaphysical and spent most of his later years combining this passion with his talent in photography to create more art. He is survived by his children, Suzanne Halling of Martinsburg, WV, Sandra Halling of Providence, RI, Angela Maruca of Gainesville, VA, and Travis Halling of Chesterfield, VA, his sister, Patti (Edwin) Long of Harrison, and grandchild, Wyatt Maruca. A private service will be held at a later date. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of arrangements.
