Jerry Edwin Purser

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Edwin Purser, age 67 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Powell will officiate. Mr. Purser was born on February 17, 1948 in Savannah, Georgia. He was the son of the late Morgan and Alice Crabb Purser. He was retired as an Industrial Engineer from Forstmann and Company. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mr. Purser passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Dublinair Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Purser is survived by his 2 sons, Christopher Edwin Purser of Atlanta, and Bradford Jeremy(Claudia) Purser of Loganville, 2 sisters, Patrilla Sterling of East Dublin, and Elaine Sanders of Marshallville, and 2 grandchildren, Briana Purser, and Stefana Purser. Pallbearers will be Franklin Frost, Mark Sterling, Travis McAdams, Brad Wall, Chandler Lord, and Robbie Lee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Purser to New Hope Center at 209 Elberta Road , Warner Robins, Georgia 31088. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
