Jesse Chrispen Myers

Jesse Chrispen Myers, 88, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.

He was born May 3, 1935, in Bassett, to the late Malon Myers and Bessie Stultz Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois M. Amos Myers; brother, David Lee Myers; and step-grandson, Justin Davis.

He was the former owner/operator of Tiger Auto Parts in Reidsville, North Carolina, and he also worked at Raybestos Brakes. He proudly served his country in the Unites States Navy in the Korean War, and was a high school graduate with two years of college. He was a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Patricia Harrell Myers; sons, Gary L. Myers (Pam) and Michael D. Myers; step-son, Van Davis (Robin); and granddaughter, Brittany N. Myers.

The funeral will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor Tony Beach officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Fort Trial Baptist Church, 170 Oak Level Road, Stanleytown, Virginia 24168.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Marie Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.
