Funeral services for Mrs. Jodie S. Carswell, age 57, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tyler Plaxico & Dr. Bob Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Carswell was born September 8, 1960 in Newnan, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, the late Floyd Al Smith. She was a 1983 graduate of Mercer University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was employed as a medical claims processor for Aetna for 28 years. Mrs. Carswell passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 following an extended illness.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Carswell of Dublin; a daughter, McKenzie Carswell of Dublin; two sons, Bryan Hutto of Atlanta and Zachary (Jackie) Hutto of Perry; her mother, June C. Smith of Macon; a brother, Daniel Smith of Tacoma; Washington; two sisters, Polly (Ray) Ellington and Julie (Tara) Darraugh both of Macon and two grandsons, Brayden Hutto and Sam Hutto.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Linc Jones, Krather Nelson, L.V. Lee, Curtis Perry, Rex Barrentine and Bob Wallace.
