Joe Jerry Scarboro

Graveside funeral service for Joe Jerry Scarboro, age 61 will be held 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in Kirkland Cemetery in Swainsboro, Georgia. Mr. Thurmon Foskey will officiate. Mr. Scarboro was born on November 5, 1952 in Metter, Georgia. He was the son of the late Emory Franklin and Gertrude Loyed Scarboro. He has lived in Lyons for the last 40 years. He was employed as a construction worker for Wiley Jones Construction Company. Mr. Scarboro passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his residence in Lyons. Mr. Scarboro is survived by his 2 sisters, Dollie (Benton) Kirkland of Swainsboro, and Charlotte (Joseph) Sparks of Milledgeville, and care provider Harriet Willis of Lyons. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Kirkland Cemetery. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
