Joel Sidney Hilbun

Graveside funeral services for Joel Sidney Hilbun, age 69 will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Carter's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Dylan Pettis and Mr. Eric Haskins will officiate.

Mr. Hilbun was born March 23, 1953, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Guy S. Hilbun. He was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. He was retired from Forstmann and Company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to play cards with his friends and loved to spend time with his family and his dogs. Mr. Hilbun passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his residence.

Mr. Hilbun is survived by his mother, Louise S. Hilbun of East Dublin, 2 daughters, Gwen H. Cox of East Dublin, and Meleigha H. (Eric) Haskins of East Dublin, a brother, Sam (Bobbie T.) Hilbun of East Dublin, grandchildren, TJ Cox, Gracie Cox, Marleigh Haskins, Coy Haskins, Raylan Haskins, Abby Haskins, Lilly Haskins, and Hunter Haskins, 2 nephews, Dylan (Julie) Pettis, and Chance Franks, 2 nieces, Larsen Garrett, and Jessi Franks, and great-nieces and great-nephews, Lizzie Garrett, Maggie Garrett, Linza Pettis, Elinor Pettis, Kylie Franks, Tyler Franks, and Cannon Gonzalez.

Pallbearers will be TJ Cox, Coy Haskins, Tennyson Cox, Eric Haskins, Chance Franks, Tyler Franks, Dylan Pettis, and Michael Garrett.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Carter's Chapel United Methodist Church in the sanctuary.
