Joey Marcus Hobbs

Funeral services for Mr. Joey Marcus Hobbs, age 54, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center, with interment to follow in the Hobbs Family Cemetery. Rev. Charles Parrish, Rev. Curt Poole, and Rev. Kenny Rowland will officiate. Mr. Hobbs was born on September 1, 1961 in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Betty Soles Hobbs. He attended East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center and Pine Hill Holiness Church. He was a member of the Laurens County Sportsman Club, American Legion where he served as the DJ, and was an avid dirt track racer at all the local tracks. Mr. Hobbs passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Serenity Place. Mr. Hobbs is survived by his loving wife, Donna Hobbs of East Dublin, his father, Marcus Hobbs of East Dublin, 2 sons, Jeffrey (Amanda) Hobbs of Hickory, NC, and Joey Hobbs, Jr. of Dublin, a stepson, Richard Renfroe of Wrightsville, a brother, Randy (Denise) Hobbs of Kite, a sister, Paula (Kevin) Joiner of East Dublin, and 6 grandchildren, Landon Hobbs, Jackson Hobbs, Peyton Hobbs, Chloe Hobbs, Rodney Renfroe, and Rosie Renfroe. Pallbearers will be Hugh Foskey, Johnny Scarborough, Jason Barber, Chuck Brown, Steve Thomas, and Shane Hobbs. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
