John Preston Glover

John Preston Glover, 92, of Wrightsville, Georgia, passed away on November 21, 2022, at his residence. The family will have a time of visitation on November 23, 2022, at 1:00 PM until 2:20 PM and immediately following at 2:30 PM a celebration of his life at Trinity Assembly of God in Wrightsville, Georgia. Rev. Sonny Wilkes will officiate.

Mr. Glover was preceded in death by his father, Avory Preston Glover, mother, Lora Bell Parker Glover, and sister, Gladys Glover Underwood. He was an Army Veteran serving in Austria and Italy during the Korean Conflict. He was born and raised in Wrightsville. Later he moved to Macon where he worked many years at Georgia Kraft paper mill while also working as a residential contractor. Mr. Glover moved back, with his wife and family, to Wrightsville and started Glover Auto Parts and Glover Properties. He was a hard worker and loved his family dearly. He was also a Patriot who loved God and country.

Mr. Glover is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Angela Brantley Glover. Children, Kathy Claxton (Billy), John Glover (Marsha), Terry Glover (Patricia), and Sheila Sanders (Barry). Grandchildren, Christina Claxton Horne (Chris), Amanda Sanders Carter (Taylor), Ethan Sanders (Emily), Katie Glover, Ivey Glover, Anna Glover, and Sammy Glover, and great grandchildren, Anya Horne, Brantley Carter, Beau Carter, and Ensley Sanders.
