John Thomas Harrison

Funeral services for John Thomas Harrison, age 90 will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, November 26, 2021, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Barry Parker will officiate. The video will be live streamed at https://my.gather.app/remember/john-harrison-2021 Mr. Harrison was born October 28, 1931, in Wadley, Georgia. He was the son of the late John Thurston and Lidie Bridges Harrison. He was also preceded in death by is wives, Juanita Faye Martin Harrison and Rose Marie Martin Harrison, and by his siblings, Florence Harrison Duddy, Patsy Harrison Bassett, and Harry Harrison. He served in the United States Air Force. In 1973 he moved to Macon, GA where he owned and operated Harrison Body Shop for many years before moving to Dublin in 1992. Mr. Harrison passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Harrison is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Lynn Harrison of Macon, 2 grandchildren, Donavan Harrison Piper of Gonzales, LA, and Victoria Faye Piper of Byron, a great-grandchild, Gracie Faye McMillan, and a devoted friend, Marie Coleman. Pallbearers will be Barry Parker, Buddy Young, Donavan Piper, and Dan Stewart. The family would like to thank Mr. Harrison's special caregivers, Tina Lanier, Mary Kinsey, and Annette Harvey, and his devoted friend and helper Horace Mitchell for all acts of kindness offered to Mr. Harrison during his sickness. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. -11:45 A.M. Friday, November 26, 2021, at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
