John Wesley Maddox

Memorial services for John Wesley Maddox, age 73, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mr. Maddox was born on May 12, 1950, in Dublin, Georgia. He was retired from Southeast Paper Mill and was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Maddox and Florene Tapley Maddox Hendrix. Mr. Maddox passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Maddox of East Dublin; son, Shane Maddox (Heather) of Dublin; daughter, Sherry Kight (Jason) of East Dublin; sister, Annette Nelms of Vidalia; and grandchildren, Bailee Kight (Emmi), Karsen Kight, Wes Maddox, Jeremy Maddox, and Jackson Maddox.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home. The family will be receiving friends at the family residence.
