Johnnie Murphy Legette

The family of Ms. Johnnie Murphy LeGette, age 76 will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the residence of Steve and Gail Brown, 1561 Dublin Eastman Road. Ms. LeGette was born November 30, 1942 in Brooksville, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late J.T. Murphy and Virginia Gillis Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jim Roe Brantley, son Andrew LeGette, and siblings Jeanette Murphy Pritchard and Buddy Murphy. Ms. LeGette passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Serenity Hospice in Dublin. Ms. LeGette is survived by son Scott LeGette of Dexter, by daughter Dabney (Mike) Cannon of Loganville, Georgia, by grandchildren Greg LeGette, Erin Cason, Andrew Cannon, and Ryan Cannon, and by great grandchildren Aden LeGette, Adeline LeGette, Aurora LeGette and Xander Cason. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, to Serenity Place Hospice, 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021 or to the Laurens County Humane Society, 618 Firetower Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
