Mr. Scarborough was born on March 22, 1965 in Macon, Georgia. Johnnie worked in the maintenance department at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents James Wilbur Scarborough and Ruby Dell Bailey and brothers Jimmy Scarborough and Timmy Scarborough. Mr. Scarborough passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 12:25 p.m. in Fairview Park Hospital.
One of Johnnie's biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky enough to have two. His children, Johnathon and Jeffery, called their dad a superhero, and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. Johnnie's wife Teresa was his one true love since the age of 13. He spent majority of his time hunting and fishing with his boys. His 6 grandbabies were his pride and joy. He worshipped the ground they walked on. To know him was to love him. He will be missed by his family, friends, and community.
He is survived by his wife Teresa Lynn Scarborough, sons Johnathon Scarborough (Cera) and Jeffery Scarborough (Crissy), brothers Kenneth Scarborough (Janice), Benny Scarborough (Teresa), and Tommy Scarborough (Linda), sisters Janice Soles (Rayford), and Tammy Gibbs (Charles), grandchildren Anna Grace, Analeigh, Karsyn, Bree, Alanna and Lainey, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC.
