Johnny Gordon Joiner

Graveside memorial services for Johnny Gordon Joiner will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. Bobby Joiner and Rev. Cole Morris will officiate.

Johnny was born November 24, 1946, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Thomas L. and Annie L. Veal Joiner. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Joiner and Charles Joiner. He passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Johnny proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, and then resided in Hinesville, Georgia. After a long career, "JJ", as he was known, retired from Coastal Utilities and returned to Wrightsville. He loved fishing, working in his yard, and spending time with his family. He was a loyal Braves and Falcons fan, through both the good times and the bad.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda Blizzard Joiner of Wrightsville; a son, Randy (Sandi) Joiner of South Grafton, MA, a daughter, Stacey (Jeff) Glandon of Hinesville; a stepson, Scott (Julie) Stephens of Wrightsville; a stepdaughter, Marla Jackson of Wrightsville; three brothers, Jack (Diane) Joiner of Albany, Ed (Christa) Joiner of Ellerslie, and Bobby (Sharon) Joiner of Dublin; a sister-in-law, Pat Joiner; and seven grandchildren; Jordan, Joanie, Landon, Taylor, Chance, Morgan, and Abby.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
