Johnny Delmar Loyd

Memorial services for Johnny Delmar Loyd, age 85 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Marie Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate.

Mr. Loyd was born June 3, 1940, in Minter, Georgia. He was the son of the late John Alma Loyd and Dorothy Clyde Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Alan Loyd. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, metalworking, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family, taking annual family trips. He retired as a regional manager for Gold Kist. Mr. Loyd and his wife were very active church members of Centenary United Methodist Church in their younger years and served as Youth Ministers there. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church and a member of Al Sihah Shriners. Mr. Loyd passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.

Mr. Loyd is survived by the love of his life of 63 years, Anna Dora Harden Loyd; 2 sons, John Eric (Kara Andrews) Loyd, and Daymon Emory (Amie Bloodworth) Loyd; a daughter, Marla Loyd (Chip) Roche; a brother, David Earl Loyd; 8 grandchildren, Dori Roche (Josh) Clark, Drew Roche, Isabel Loyd (Justin) Dean, Cecilia Loyd, Jackson Loyd, Braden Loyd, Charlotte Loyd, and Juliann Loyd; 3 great-grandchildren, Wil Parker Sterling, Chance Tucker Sterling, and John Ross Clark; and 2 nephews, Brian Loyd and Jonathan Loyd.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the funeral home.
