Johnny Fay McAfee

Funeral services for Johnny Fay McAfee, age 92, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 17, 2026, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. McAfee was born on March 10, 1934, in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Charles Leo and Susie Price McAfee. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired timber cruiser with Georgia Kraft Company and attended Brown Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles McAfee and his sisters, Joyce (Dan) Sumner and Alice (Ernest) Wood. Mr. McAfee passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Janice Jackson McAfee; daughters, Debra M. (Ricky) Brooks and Donna M. (Gary) Powell; son, John William (Stephanie) McAfee, Sr.; brothers, Billy (Kay) McAfee and Bobby (Jeanette) McAfee; sister-in-law, Betty McAfee; grandchildren, Jarred (Sheila) Powell, Cassie Brooks, Colby (Alexa) Smith, Matt (Lauren) Brooks, Heather (Derreck) Martin, Marci (Mitch) Osborne, Kennedy (T.J.) Angles, John William (Mary Lee) McAfee, and Christian McAfee; and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John William McAfee, Christian Blake McAfee, Derreck Martin, Mitch Osborne, Matthew Brooks, T. J. Angles, Jarred Powell, and Colby Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Harley Wood, Mike McAfee, Jeff McAfee, Todd McAfee, Jimmy McAfee, Timbo McAfee, Danny Sumner and Barry Sumner.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. at the funeral home.
