Joseph Everett Richker

Funeral services for Joseph Everett Richker, age 76, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Dublin Bible Church with Rev. Tom Mims and Rev. Earl Adams officiating. A private burial with military honors will be held in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Funeral services will be live at https://my.gather.app/remember/joseph-richker


Mr. Richker was born on January 26, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated with honors from the U.S. Air Force Technical College at Sheppard AFB and later obtained his Pastoral Degree. He served his country during Vietnam and in his later years told his family that he would do it all over again for his country. He was a retired IT Specialist from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. He enjoyed his pastoral duties including writing sermons and teaching the Bible, rebuilding older and antique mustangs, repairing and rebuilding computers, wood working, building furniture, construction, history, cooking, and spending time with his family and beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Richker and Dessie Richker Wylie. Mr. Richker passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital.


He is survived by his wife, Lynn Richker; two sons, Erich Richker and Aaron Richker; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Thomas) Miller; stepson, David (Jennifer) Fenn; sister, Charleen Commings; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at the church prior to the service.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Amyloidosis Research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
