Joseph Elliott Williams, Jr.

Funeral services for Joseph Elliott Williams, Jr., age 58, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2018 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory of Wrightsville, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp will officiate. Mr. Williams was born September 26, 1960 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Joseph Elliott Williams. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joy Elizabeth Williams Lord, and grandparents, Duren and Janice Williams and Robert and Gladyne Scott. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Williams Trucking and Wiltran. Mr. Williams passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Tammie Anita Outlaw Williams of Dublin, his mother, Jacqueline Rhonella Scott Williams of Harrison, two sons, Jake Williams of Athens, and Josh Williams of Dublin, and a brother, Jerry (Paula) Williams of Adrian. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jody Scott, Pratt Scott, Jonathan Scott, Johny Ricks, Carey Williams, Allan Thompson, Tyler Holt, and Jim Sumner. Honorary pallbearers will include Justin Clements, Todd Singleton, Shawn Wombles, Chad Wombles, Dennis Moore, Nelson Claxton, John Williams and James Claxton. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
