Joy L. Smith

Graveside services for Joy L. Smith, age 78, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Dublin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Keith Hall officiating. Mrs. Smith was born on October 6, 1942 in Wrightsville, Georgia. Joy retired from Allen-Bradley Company and was a member of Pinehurst Drive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Bessie Keyton, husband, Millard Smith, brothers, Jere Keyton, Clifton Keyton, and Linton Keyton. Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Smith is survived by children, Teresa Smith Carey of Wrightsville, and Greg Smith of Dublin, sisters, Geraldine Peavey and Diane Christy of Martinez, grandchildren, Morgan Cox, Virginia Moore, Jordan Cox, Austin Smith, Logan Smith, and Aiden Smith, step grandson Chazz Carey, and great grandchildren, Keyton Walker, Jaelynn Walker, Holden Smith and Cadence Fountain. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
