Joyce S. Dixon

Funeral services for Joyce S. Dixon, age 83 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Mr. Thurmon Foskey and Rev. Danny Goddard will officiate.

Mrs. Dixon was born January 15, 1941, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Plez and Bessie Maddox Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert Roberts, and Ray Dixon, and a son, James Aaron Roberts. She was a retired waitress at Sam's Diner in Wrightsville and from Jet Food Store in Wrightsville. She was of the Nazarene Faith and attended Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Dixon passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Greenwood Place.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her son, Herbert Lamar Roberts of Dublin; 3 daughters, Brenda R. Wilkerson of Wrightsville, Glenda R. Aliff of Dublin, and Debra R. (Herschel) Scott of Sandersville; 4 stepsons, Ray Dixon, Jr., Gary Dixon, Kenneth Dixon, and Tracy Inman 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved dog "Tootsie".

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Wrightsville Church of the Nazarene.
