Joyce Mason Spivey

Joyce Spivey passed away December 11, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. She fought a short yet courageous battle against cancer. Born to Tom and Mable Mason on June 17, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents, her precious daughter Elaine Spivey Andrews, brothers Tilman, Wilmer, and Lamar Mason, sisters Zora and Lena Mason, and son-in-law Dennis Watson. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Watson, grandchildren Autumn Allen(Chad), Raven Callaway(Darrell), Misty Watson, and Ashley Andrews(Christina). She was a beloved Nana and Deedah to Abbey and Anna Allen, Jaycee Davis, and Cassie and Colbie Marchman. Surviving sisters and family include Ida Mason, Easter Mitchum(Walter), Alice Scoggins(Sammy), and Nellie Beacham(Clayton). She was a shining light of inspiration to all who knew her. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. As a devout Christian, she dedicated her life to her family as well as many others. A private memorial service was held to celebrate her life. Please honor her memory by sharing the love of Jesus.
