Joyce Hadden Williamson

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Hadden Williamson, age 87, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at New Home Baptist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Burton Dixon and Rev. Phil Wilson will officiate. Mrs. Williamson was born September 9, 1931 in Wrightsville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Jessie D. Hadden and Frances Hoover Hadden, her husband, Arthur C. Williamson, four brothers, Henry Hadden, Randolph Hadden, B.J. Hadden and Jack Hadden and two sisters, Jeanette Swim and Phyllis Price. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church and was retired as manager of Allied Department Store. Mrs. Williamson passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018. She is survived by her son, Jerry (Sylvia) Williamson of Dexter, three daughters, Betty Williamson of Wrightsville, Patricia (Bobby) Blizzard of Eatonton and Marguerite (Phillip) Page of Buford, a brother, S.M. Hadden of Bolingbroke, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, November 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted but for those wishing to donate, contributions may be made to New Home Baptist Church, c/o Kay Harrison, 503 Fortner Road, Kite, Georgia 31049 Pallbearers will be Harry Hadden, Keith Williamson, Stacy Williamson, Wade Smith, Johnny Crawford and David Kennedy. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
