Memorial services for Judy Leigh Stockman Howard, age 59 will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home. Rev. James Fennell will officiate.
Ms. Howard was born September 9, 1961 in Columbia, South Carolina. Judy was a graduate of Winthrop University and furthered her education at Georgia College and State University, where she received her master's degree. She was a Special Education teacher, working in Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Georgia for 33 years before retiring and going to work at Pulaski State Prison with their GED program. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Myron Watson Stockman and Ann Kohler Stockman. Ms. Howard passed away October 14, 2020 in The Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
From the moment Judy met you, you were her friend. She loved all people and spent her entire life helping others. Judy's love for God, family and friends was boundless and she will truly be missed beyond measure.
Ms. Howard is survived by her son, John Randolph Howard of Dublin, and her sister, Melinda Kirk of Laurens, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ms. Howard's memory may be made to the Georgia Chapter of Austism Speaks, P.O. Box 199, Rocky Hill, NJ 08553, www.autismspeaks.org.
Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC.
