Julia Diane Keown

Funeral services for Julia Diane Keown, age 70 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel, with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Rev. Harry Hadden and Rev. Jim Duggan will officiate. Mrs. Keown was born March 14, 1949 in Dublin, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Wilson David and Julia Nette Shepard Powell. She was a retired Seamstress of EZ Mills. She was also retired from Johnson County Service Center and a Bus Driver for Johnson County Board of Education. She enjoyed fishing and working in her yard with flowers, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Oaky Grove Church. Mrs. Keown passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Mrs. Keown is survived by her husband, Bobby Keown of Wrightsville, a son, Chad (Jessica) Keown of East Dublin, a daughter, Renae (Bryan) Gibbs of Evans, a brother, James Burnon Powell of Augusta, and 3 grandchildren, Jordan Lawrence, Riley Keown, and Sophia Keown. Pallbearers will be Tim Keyton, Rex Powell, Jeff Winfrey, Stan Shepard, Jeff Shepard, Jeff Powell, and Aaron Price. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Keyton, Ambros Powell and Ronnie Josey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Keown to Oaky Grove Church in C/O James Keyton 54 Oaky Grove Church Road, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
