Julian Herbert Helton

Graveside funeral service for Julian Herbert Helton, age 88 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Joel Dent will officiate. Mr. Helton was born February 9, 1933 in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Robert Earl and Mattie Mae Howell Helton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Taylor, Robert Helton, Shirley Brack, Morris Helton, and Bufford Helton, and a nephew, Randy Brack. He served in the United States Air Force. He was retired after 34 years from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. Mr. Helton passed away, Monday, March 15, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Helton is survived by his wife, Joan R. Helton of Dublin, a son, Jon Helton of Dublin, 2 grandchildren, Jenna Helton and Jake Helton, nieces and nephews, Frank Helton, Buster Helton, Donna Lumley, Debbie Joiner, Cheryl Cannon, Shelia Helton, and Teresa Crafton. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Helton to Dublin-Laurens County Humane Society at 618 Firetower Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
