Julian Ray Shepard

Mr. Julian Ray Shepard, age 74, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 following an extended illness. Mr. Shepard was born July 13, 1944 Athens, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Julian Carson Shepard and Mozelle Healan Shepard, his wife, Susan Theresa Hannon Shepard and two brothers, Terry Shepard and Frankie Shepard. He was retired from Dry Branch Kaolin Company as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his children, Angie (Gus) Cooper of Wadley, Matt (Sherrie) Shepard of Bartow and Stan (Nichole) Shepard of Kite, a brother, Clyde (Elizabeth) Shepard of Macon, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
