Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Stevens Rowland, age 84, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tom Vann will officiate. Mrs. Rowland was born January 5, 1932 in Dublin, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late William Louis & Trellis Howell Stevens, her husband, Emory Rowland, three brothers, Ofell Stevens, Tennyson Stevens and Clayton Stevens and five sisters, Ruby Stevens, Mary (C.T.) Braddy, Grace (Buddy) Mullis, Nelline (Cecil) Gay and Georgia (Prentice) Swymer. She was a member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from Biljo's. Mrs. Rowland passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her residence. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Danny) Bracewell of Rentz, her son, Larry (Lee Ann) Allen Attaway, Sr. of Milledgeville, two brothers, William Louis "Junior" Stevens of Milledgeville and Pete (Becky) Stevens of Cadwell, a sister, Bonnie Faye Stuckey of Green Cove Springs, FL, seven grandchildren, Chuck (Jill) Chambers, Andy (Christine) Chambers, Tammy (Ricky) Williams, Allen (Amanda) Attaway, Matt (Sherry) Attaway, Tanya, (Skyler) Teasley and Jackson (Stephanie) Attaway and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M., Thursday, December 28, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks, that donations, in memory of Mrs. Rowland, be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., 2600 Network Boulevard, Suite 300, Frisco, Texas 75034 Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
