Kathryn E. Lovett, nee Williams, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Grand Boulevard Health and Rehab Center in Destin, Florida after being under the care of Emerald Coast Hospice.
Mrs. Lovett was born February 17, 1913 in Newberry, South Carolina to Mattie Elizabeth (Hendrix) Williams and David J. Williams. She had three brothers, David Williams, Jr., Horace Williams and Cecil Williams who proceeded her in death. She married Charles Walter Lovett, Sr. in October 1932 and were married until his death in 1986. Mrs. Lovett had two children, Janabeth Lovett Smith and Charles Walter Lovett, Jr. who have also preceeded her in death. Also preceeding her in death was her granddaughter, Cynthia (Cindy) E. (Smith) Stokes who died in 1994. She worked for Apparel Craft in Wrightsville, GA until her retirement in 1978. She was a member and active in the United Methodist Church in Lovett, GA until her move to Ozark, AL in 1992 where she became a member of the United Methodist Church in Ozark. Mrs. Lovett moved to Destin, FL in 2006 where she was a resident of Grand Boulevard Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Lovett is survived by her four of five grandchildren, Kathy D. (Smith) Hardy and husband, Don, Tampa, FL, John C. (Chuck) Smith, Jr. and wife, Paula, North Augusta, SC, Gregory L. Smith and fiancee, Karen Isbell, Panama City Beach, FL and Val W. Smith and wife, Sherry, Enterprise, AL. Other survivors include 11 great-grandchildren; Lynn (Joe) Blaszczak, Pelham, AL, Denise Morse, Tampa, FL, Kellie (Stokes) Wallace, Ozark, AL, Dustin (Ariel) Stokes, Ozark, AL, Courtney (Josh Conti) Smith, Birmingham, AL, Ryan Smith, North Augusta, SC, Jana Smith, Ozark, AL, Megan Smith (Robert) Pomeroy, Joseph Walker, Auburn, AL, Shelby Smith and Ethan Smith, Enterprise, AL and five great-great grandchildren, Cody Blaszczak, Pelham, AL, Skylar Morse, Tampa, FL, Kaitlin Glover, Blake and Blaine DeWitt, Ozark, AL.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Westview Cemetery.
