Kay Frances Hutcheson Smith

Funeral services for Kay Frances Hutcheson Smith, age 69, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Poplar Springs Church Cemetery in Adrian, Georgia. Rev. Jay Williams will officiate.

Kay was born on August 6, 1957, in Jesup, Georgia. She was a retired teacher and was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Jordan Hutcheson and Sara Frances Williams Hutcheson. Kay passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Taylor Smith; daughter, Morgan Smith; son, Matthew Smith; brother, Wayne Hutcheson (Beth); mother-in-law, Beth Smith; brothers-in-law, Daniel Smith (Anita) and Jason Smith; sister-in-law, Tammy Smith Edge; and 3 grandchildren, Ryleigh Hobbs, Blakeleigh Hobbs and Hadleigh Hobbs.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Springs Church Cemetery Fund or to the Dublin Humane Society.
