Kenneth D. Bush, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Darrell Bush, Sr., age 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Union Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow at Westview Cemetery. Mr. Ralph Veal and Rev. Donnie Baker will officiate. Mr. Bush was born July 26, 1939 in Wrightsville, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ledford and Frances Johnson Bush. He was a graduate of Wrightsville High School and attended Swainsboro Tech. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. He retired from English China Clay International after 34 years of service and then did contract work in the Kaolin industry for several years. He loved being with family and friends, enjoyed watching Georgia Tech football and being a volunteer with Carpenters for Christ building churches locally and throughout the United States. Mr. Bush passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Bush, a son, Ken (Peggy) Bush, Jr., four grandchildren, Lila Kate Bush, Nolan Bush, Luke Bush and Nathaniel Bush. He is also survived by Nellie Veal, Ralph Veal, Robert (Cheryl) Veal, Rob Veal and Deana (Isaac) Hardee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robert Veal, Rob Veal, Bray Hutcheson, Keith Alligood, Hugh Veal and Lowell Guess. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
