Kevin Clay Smith

Memorial services for Kevin Clay Smith, age 58 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory. Mr. Chad Holton and Rev. Craig Minor will officiate. Mr. Smith was born on November 23, 1958 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wendell Smith and Dorothy Kibler Smith. He was of the Episcopal Faith. He has lived in Dublin for 48 years, and in Homer for 11 years. He was employed at the Habersham County Sheriff's Office as a Maintenance Director. Mr. Smith passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Lynn Smith of Homer, a daughter, Whitney (Christopher) Smith of Dublin, a stepson, Chad (Christine) Edge of Jefferson, a sister, Sandy Ballance of Dublin, and 2 grandchildren, Addison Edge and Cooper Edge. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Smith to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home 3000 North Henry Blvd, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
