Funeral services for Larry Dan Haggard, age 80 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 17, 2021, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Waldrep will officiate.
Mr. Haggard was born March 9, 1941 in Vidalia, Georgia. He was the son of the late Val and Malatha Ward Haggard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Couey Haggard, and a son, Keith Haggard. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of First Christian Church of Dublin. He was retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base as a aircraft technician. He was a cattle farmer and will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and generosity. Mr. Haggard passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Serenity Place in Dublin.
Mr. Haggard is survived by his wife, Hilda Haggard, a daughter, Kristie Yarbrough, stepchildren, Dell and Kelly, siblings, John Haggard, Jimmy Haggard, Linda Phillips, Margie Mayes, Annie Laura Henry, and Minnie Hattaway. He was a loving grandfather to Rachel, Shelby, Kaitlyn, and TJ as well as multiple step-grandchildren. He is further survived by a great-grandchild, Riley Jo, and many family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Haggard, Mitchel Henry, Glen Phillips, Randy Phillips, Keith Foskey, and Mike Couey.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the funeral home.
