Lauren Hodges Veal

Graveside services for Lauren Hodges Veal, age 52, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 22, 2021, in Northview Cemetery. Mrs. Veal was born October 16, 1969, in Dublin, Georgia. She was a graduate of Johnson County High School and Georgia Southern University. She graduated with a BSN in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at The Medical Center of Macon in the neonatal unit. She was preceded in death by her father, William Augustus Hodges, maternal grandparents, Ed and Martha Taylor, paternal grandparents, Durwood and Mary Hawkins and Charles and Annie Hodges, and paternal grandmother, Maude H. Knight. Mrs. Veal passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital of Savannah. She is survived by 2 daughters, Annabelle Veal and Olivia Veal of Dublin, mother, Barbara T. Knight of Dublin, stepfather, Edwin Knight of Wrightsville, 2 sisters, Holly (William) Sammons of Suwanee and Amanda Oconnor of Dublin, nephew, Cole Sammons of Suwanee, and 2 nieces, Carly Sammons and Chloe Sammons of Suwanee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
