Lee Jaques

Memorial services for Leroy "Lee" Sorenson Jaques, Jr., age 64, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 11, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with Mr. Shane Shiver officiating.

Mr. Jaques was born on June 11, 1959, in Seattle, Washington. He was the son of the late Leroy Jaques, Sr. and Joanne Crain Foskey. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a strong work ethic and never missed a day of work unless he was sick. He was very supportive of his family and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. His hobbies were grilling, working outside and riding the lawnmower. Mr. Jaques passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta after expressing to his family that he loved them and was ready to be with the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Leigh Jaques; daughters, Shanna Jaques (Thomas McCullough) and Tasha Boyt (Shane); son, Michael Jaques; sisters, Deborah Everett, Wendy Jaques (Gerry Chabot), and Kathy Meadows (Charles); brother, Robert Hummel; grandchildren, Kayla Boyt, Savanna Garner (Chase), Shane Boyt, Jr., Harley Jaques, Kameron Hagan (Joey) and Presley Gillis; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Ryver, Willow and Wyatt; and 2 special friends, Linda Mimbs and Teresa Barron.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

At Lee's request the family ask that anyone in attendance wear casual clothes as Lee preferred jeans and a ball cap.
