Leland Jenson Ussery

Graveside funeral services for Leland Jenson Ussery, age 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Bishop Cory Danner, Dr. Harold Harrison, and Mr. Delton Lampp will officiate. Mr. Ussery was born May 13, 1942 in Montrose, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Morrie and Ardelia Ussery as well as five siblings, Dessie Ussery, Alice Williams, H. Bishop Ussery, Hubert Ussery, and Cleveland Ussery. He was the founder and President of Leland Supply & Chemical Company until his retirement. Mr. Ussery was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he filled many positions in the church including serving 15 years as Bishop. He was a faithful servant of the Lord. Mr. Ussery passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Ussery is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Kemp Ussery of Dublin, a son, Steve (Patty) Ussery of Dublin, a daughter, Paula Ussery Peavy of Dublin, and 3 grandchildren, Kati Ussery, Drew Ussery, and Kristine Peavy. He is also survived by a brother, Oliver (Emily) Ussery. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
