Funeral services for Lena Mae McAfee, age 93 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Andy Lowery will officiate. Mrs. McAfee was born on December 18, 1931, in High Island, Texas. She was the daughter of the late James Henry Erikson and Lottie Inez Phleider. She started her career as a Secretary for Bacon County Primary School in Hinesville and then moved to Dublin where she became the secretary of Saxon Heights Primary School. She later became a schoolteacher at East Laurens High School before retiring from Heart of Georgia Technical College. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. McAfee passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. McAfee is survived by her husband, Dr. Archie Franklin McAfee of East Dublin; 2 sons, Archie Bryant McAfee of Sugarcreek Township, OH, and James Ross Fincher of East Dublin; 2 daughters, Mary Leanna McAfee of East Dublin, and Susan Elizabeth (McAfee) Brooks of East Dublin; a brother, Kenneth Erikson of Orange, CA; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher McAfee, Jonathan Haygood, Charles Fincher, Phillip Smith, Jeremy Holbrook, and Joshua McAfee.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home.
