Lenora Carter Odom

Funeral services for Lenora Ethel Carter Odom, age 81, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Trinity Assembly of God with Rev. Sonny Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Odom was born on August 28, 1944, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Annie Robinson Carter, husband Henry Odom, sister Maryann Carter and brother Charlie Carter. She was a retired custodian with the Johnson County School System. Ms. Odom passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her residence.

She is survived by her son, James McNair of Wrightsville; 2 daughters, Mae Carter Evans of Wrightsville and Martha Smith of Screven; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
