Leroy Clayton Hoff

LeRoy Clayton Hoff, 75, passed away at home in Eatonton, Georgia on June 21, 2018. A visitation will take place on June 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 6748 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage, AK 99518. Pastor Al Thomerson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will include Chelsea White, Clayton and Garrett Jessee, Whitney, McKinley, and CJ Hoff, and Ezra and Othniel Smith. Following the services, LeRoy will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. with military honors at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. LeRoy was born on September 27th, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, LeRoy joined the military serving from 1961 to 1985.He served in the United States Air Force and the Civil Service in various locations such as Pearl Harbor, Lackland, Plattsburgh, Pease, Vietnam, Colorado Springs, Eielson, Elmendorf, and received various military accommodations. LeRoy retired from the Air Force in March of 1985 and from the civil service in 1997. LeRoy has lived in Alaska since 1975 in Fairbanks, Anchorage, Chugiak, and Eagle River. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle River, Grandview Baptist, and Moose Creek Baptist. He left the state in 2008 and went to live in Georgia. Family states, "He was a career serviceman in the Air Force who loved his God, country, family, and the Green Bay Packers. He also gave back to his community by giving over 18 gallons of blood." LeRoy is survived by his wife, Wanda Hoff; daughters Lori Shepherd, Carol Jessee, and Crystal Smith; son Scott Hoff; grandchildren Chelsea White, Clayton and Garrett Jessee, McKinley, Whitney, and CJ Hoff, Phineas, Shaphan, Ezra, Othniel, Cassiphia, Jehosheba, Miracle, and Kohath Smith; and great-grandchild Lilly White. Family requests memorial bequests be made to your local blood bank. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of local arrangements.
