Lila Spears Cauley

Graveside services for Lila Mae Spears Cauley, age 98, will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Big Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Alligood officiating. Mrs. Cauley was born on August 15, 1922 in Wilkinson County. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, a founding member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and was a volunteer seamstress with Agape Stitchers which sew items for needy children around the world. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Gussie Mae Dominy Spears, her husband George Eldon Cauley, daughter Regina Shawn Cauley, and brothers Roy Everett Spears and John Wilbur Spears. Mrs. Cauley passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at home. She is survived by her niece Seralyn Andrews and her husband Eddie Andrews of Nickelsville, and several other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mark Thompson, Mitchell Lord, Wyatt Glover, David Green, David Flury and Kenneth Ellington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gina Cauley Scholarship Fund at Trinity Christian School. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
