Linda Colson Garrett

Graveside funeral services for Linda Colson Garrett, age 79 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ken Rodgers will officiate.

Mrs. Garrett was born July 12, 1947, in Sandersville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late David Franklin Colson and Gladys Hesters Colson. She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Glynda Colson, and sister, Helen Thomas. She was a retired L.P.N. at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center and Dublinair Nursing Home and Rehab. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Garrett passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at her residence surrounded by family.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband, Gilbert S. Garrett, Sr. of Dublin; 3 sons, Christopher “Chris” S. Brewer of Soperton; Timothy “Tim” Wade Brewer of Dexter, and Gilbert Stanton “Stan” Garrett Jr. (Julie) of Dublin; a sister, Dee Mitchell of Dublin; 6 grandchildren, Callie Gibson, Ashlee Garrett, Emilee Garrett, Avery Brewer, Lauren Brewer, and Nolan Brewer; a caregiver, Michelle Lampp(Doug); and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks the donations be made in memory of Mrs. Garrett to Regency Southercare Hospice Services at 1006 Mount Vernon Road, Suite B, Vidalia, GA 30474.
